Condemnation of the Tragic Killing of Israeli Embassy Staff in Washington, D.C.
It is with profound sorrow and unwavering condemnation that we respond to the horrific killing of two young diplomats, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. Their lives were tragically cut short just as they stood on the threshold of a new chapter together, filled with love, service, and promise.
This senseless act of violence not only extinguished two bright lights of diplomacy and international engagement but also struck at the heart of humanity. Sarah Lynn Milgrim, a brilliant scholar with degrees from Kansas University, American University, and the United Nations for Peace University, was a rising voice in international policy and peace-building. Her partner, Yaron Lischinsky, had planned to propose to her next week in Jerusalem—plans that now serve as a heartbreaking reminder of the potential that has been stolen from their families, their communities, and the world.
We, at the Center for Truth and Knowledge, stand firmly against all forms of political and ideological violence. We mourn alongside their families, the Israeli diplomatic corps, and the global community. We urge authorities to pursue justice swiftly and unequivocally, and call on world leaders to reaffirm their commitment to protecting diplomatic staff and promoting peace and dialogue over hate and terror.
In their memory, let us work harder for a world where young diplomats can build bridges between nations without fear, and where love and peace are stronger than bullets and hate.
